Humanity’s true moral test

“Humanity’s true moral test, its fundamental test (which lies deeply buried from view), consists of its attitude towards those who are at its mercy: animals.”
Milan Kundera The Unbearable Lightness of Being, 1984

Replace All Animal Experiments in Europe
« on: February 17, 2008, 09:51:07 PM »
The European legislation governing EU animal experiments (Directive 86/609/EEC), is now some 20 years old, desperately out of date and in urgent need of review.

The European Commission has recognised this and a review is now underway.

The Commission has also launched an 'Action Plan' that explicitly states "The final aim is to replace animal experiments with methods not entailing the use of an animal.

Please sign the petition now - it is vital that we can demonstrate that EU citizens are united in wanting to replace animal experiments in Europe.

Replacements have the potential to save millions of laboratory animals and improve the quality of research and testing.

Go Veggie

One person will eat: 2750 fish, 1158 chickens, 4 cattle,1 goose, 18 pigs, 39 turkeys, 28 ducks, 23 sheep and 1 rabbit in their lifetime. Going veggie and helping others go veggie is the most important thing we can do to help animals.
